Gnomes...now in new sizes!

Yup.  Those small ones were actually a mistake.  I designed this fabric to make a child safe alternative to the painted gnomes that I make.  But when I ordered the fabric from Spoonflower I wasn't happy with he size.  So I tried again...and am now much happier with the outcome.

The Keychains are back!

As most people know, I get my rocks that I use for crafty purposes from New Zealand.  I find that they are the flattest most smoothest rock out there.  The problem is of course...they are located in NZ, and I am in Canada.  Thankfully my parents are there to help and are willing to travel ALLLLLLL the way to the other side of the world and get me some rocks.
I know that it was pretty tough for them, so I appreciate the sacrifice they made.

Remember, these are limited stock...who knows when someone else I know will go there.

Kissy Kissy

Pink Monkey.

One of my favourite things about Crafts shows is the people you meet, especially when one sits beside them alllllllll day.  Last holiday season I had a table beside a lovely woman from Sweden who was selling delightful tree decorations. We ended up chatting the entire craft show and became instant friends.  Not long ago she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and under went a mastectomy.  She is presently going through Chemo.  She is a tough woman and seems to not be letting this horrible disease get her down.  Laughter is the best medicine right?
Anyways, I wanted to do something for her, and when I saw these Breast Cancer socks I knew that a monkey was the way to go.  Firstly, the money would go to help with Breast Cancer, but also I figured that this guy would be a fun friend to take along with her to her Chemo Treatments.

Good luck B.....Can't wait to have you back on the crafting circuit!!!

Monkeys Monkeys everywhere.

I have finally had time to sit down and actually sew some monkeys for the upcoming holiday season....and after travelling to Europe it meant lots and lots of new and fun socks to play with....

Some people buy souvenirs when travelling...I did too...but 90% of them will be turned into Monkeys...

Love these socks...they are from the
Beatles Museum in Liverpool.

Massive Update.

I know that for the most part you are thinking about going back to school or if you are a really big planner, perhaps it is more about Thanksgiving....but I am thinking about Christmas.
No really.
November/December comes surprisingly quickly in the crafting world.  This of course means lots of holiday shows and letters from Santa asking me to hook him up with monkeys.  (No it's true....Santa and I are tight.)

And so my evenings are devoted to sewing...this year of course there will be the usual monkeys and elephants, but I think that I might be dusting off some old favourites that haven't been around in a while...like aardvarks and ponys!!

So here we go:

I think this guy is in his underwear.

What?  An orange elephant?

Yup.

Little guys...
